With the Romulan Star Empire in disarray following the death of Praetor Shinzon and the quelling of a political coup. The lines of the neutral zone have become blurred and the fate of one of the Federation’s greatest advisories is now left lingering a shroud of uncertainty while several emerald shards of the shattered imperial wall are brought to throats of factions during this contested jostling for power and control.

The United Federation of Planets has taken the high road in the matter deeming it an internal Romulan conflict, yet have extended an olive branch to help facilitate peace talks among the various players looking to either take the Praetor’s throne, or grab a seat on the barren Imperial Senate. Though the Federation’s offer to provide assistance has fallen on mostly deaf ears, they have found support from recent ally, Commander Donatra who has her own interests in mind with a stake for power.

Relationship between the Klingon Empire and the United Federation of Planets have arguably never been better with Martok as Chancellor of the Klingon Empire; however, even Martok cannot turned a blind eye to the warriors seeking pick the bones of the collapsed Romulan Star Empire and a Klingon Empire that is still plagued with unrest and cutthroat conspirators ready to plunge a d’k tahg through his chest or even worse, in his back.

In a time of so much uncertainty, the United Federation of Planets and Starfleet have sought to return to the bedrock of which they were founded upon – exploration. The Dominion War is in the past though its impact is still heavily felt, the failed Romulan coup still it the forefront of everyone’s minds, and it is with a sense of clarity that President of the Federation has put the Federation back on track, not to be overshadowed or eclipsed at a galactic power in the Alpha and Beta quadrants.
