Personality & Traits

General Overview Mira is a gentle and caring soul. She is a very dedicated and loyal Starfleet Officer and would gladly give her life for one of her patients or her Captain. She grew up following her mothers foot footsteps by becoming a doctor and honored both her parents by joining Starfleet.

A very intelligent and intuitive woman, Mira didn’t have any problem with her studies at the Academy. She knew she wanted to practice medicine from a young age and has the Deltan ability to relieve pain by touch, hers stronger then many her age.

Like every member of her species that enters Starfleet she has sworn to remain celebrate as Deltans have a strong sexual attraction to them when it comes to other species in the Federation.
Strengths & Weaknesses + Intelligent and focused - Mira is a very intelligent and capable physician. She has the ability to stay focused on the task at hand, especially when it comes to surgery or treating a patient. The ship could be falling apart around her and she will do everything to make sure her patient or Captain is going to be okay.

+ Leadership - (Rank) Mira is a natural born leader. She led several clubs in highschool and was the Captain of the Volleyball team. She co-captained the Volleyball team at Starfleet Academy and was the co-chair of one of the debate teams. Mira has been recognized by former superiors as being a strong leader in sickbay and on away missions.

+ Decorations - Mira has received decorations from Starfleet and her superior’s throughout her career for different achievements in the medical field.

- Flying - Mira almost didn’t make it through the Academy because she didn’t do great at starship piloting. She has gotten better over the years but prefers to keep it limited to small craft like shuttle and runabouts.

- Ms. Fix it, NOT - She can deal with blood and body fluids all day long. She can deal with fighting off the Dominion. However doctor Mira isn’t the best suited for engineering matters. She knows what she needs for basics and to pass the Academy, but hasn’t had much time to spend in Engineering since.
Ambitions Mira would like to continue up the chain of command, but isn’t in any hurry to be making “bigger” decisions. She could see herself eventually taking command of a starship or a hospital ship. Perhaps working at Starfleet Medical, teaching.
Hobbies & Interests Exercise - Mira believes that she should lead by example and get plenty of exercise to help stay in shape. She also knows that space can be tough on your body and working out helps keep you going strong.

Reading - Staying up on the latest research from Starfleet Medical and other departments is rather enjoyable. Mira also reads books (romance, action & adventure, sci-fi, etc).

Personal History Mira was born on Delta IV in the year 2341, to Zinma, a physician and wife who practiced medicine. Then Lieutenant Commander Tala watched the whole thing on long range communication from his quarters.

A few months after the baby was born Tala asked his family to join him on the USS Salvador and they decided to do so. They would stay stationed aboard the Excelsior Class Starship for twenty years and Tala would be promoted to Commander, given the exam and asked to be the USS Salvador’s Executive Officer.

Mira’s time at the Academy seemed to fly by. She felt as if where only a few months and she had completed both her basics and medical training. However in 2365 the Deltan graduated with decent marks and were given the go ahead to practice medicine. Lieutenant Junior Grade Mira, MD is assigned to the USS Saratoga as a Medical Officer.

Life aboard the Miranda Class, USS Saratoga was what she would call typical. Typical for any Starfleet Officer, she had seen a lot of things happen while she was aboard the USS Salvador with her parents. Doctor Mira got along with her Chief Medical Officer and the senior staff and it wasn’t long before she was given lead of the second shift in sick bay. It was such a surprise when her mother arrived aboard the Saratoga and the next day she was promoted to Lieutenant and given the Assistant Chief Medical Officer position.

In 2370 Lieutenant Mira was given news she would transfer to a newly commissioned ship. She would be the Chief Medical Officer aboard the USS Vincent. When Mira arrived aboard the Nebula Class Starship she was told she would be filling the role of Chief Medical Officer and the Captain pinned her collar with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. She couldn’t have been more thrilled and her parents proud of her. The Vincent ran exploration and scientific missions as well as tactical and defense. Mira became an expert trauma surgeon years ago and was given recognition and declaration when she performed surgery on the Captain of the Vincent, saving his life.

Mira served aboard the USS Vincent with the same crew and command staff for nine years. She always considered the crew lucky, with everything that was going on for the Federation and her allies at the time. During her stint on the USS Vincent Mira was promoted to Commander and asked to sit as Second Officer, she gladly accepted and was trained and given the Command Course Exam. She passed with flying colors.

Sadly the Vincent was destroyed during a mission, but luckily 97% of her crew were rescued. Starfleet couldn’t have highly skilled and trained officers sitting around so the ones that could be were immediately transferred.

Commander Mira was transferred to the USS Eclipse where she would serve as Executive Officer for the first time. Her Captain a man with decades of experience, her ship a Nova Class Frigate.
